If you aren't able to schedule your window replacement appointment for a (few) day(s) out, it can be stressful, thinking about if it will rain or how you can protect your car. To help ease your worries, here are a few tips that we recommend:

1. Do NOT use duct tape. It is famous for its useful many purposes, but when it comes to your windows, it can cause more problems than create solutions. It is very sticky and is often difficult to remove. Not to mention, there is a higher risk of paint from your car peeling off.

2. Instead, we recommend using clear packing tape. Place it in overlapping layers and make sure to do so from the inside of the window (again, so as not to remove any of the exterior paint).

3. If you don't feel comfortable using tape, you can also purchase a temporary plastic window cover. You can often find inexpensive kits (around $10) from places like Autozone.

The proceeding tips should help protect your car until your window installation. And if you haven't yet scheduled your appointment, you can conveniently schedule online at https://www.sofautoglass.com/services or call us at 206.586.3302.
