Expert Side Window Replacement

Serving Tacoma & Surrounding Areas. Free Mobile Service Included.

An auto glass side window is a pane that fits into the vehicle's side door. These windows vary in size and shape, depending on the vehicle model.

They are typically made from tempered glass, designed to shatter safely. This glass breaks into small, blunt pieces if impacted, reducing injury risks.

If you notice that your side window is broken, using duct tape and plastic might seem like a quick fix. However, this can seriously damage your car's paint.  Instead, we recommend reaching out to the experts at SOF and scheduling our same-day appointment.

While there are many types of windshield glass, side window glass is much more straightforward. Depending on your vehicle, you will be given the option of tempered glass or laminated glass. The main difference is that laminated glass has an extra layer of protection. This makes it less likely to shatter into many pieces. It is often the more costly option of the two, but it can be a worthwhile investment.

What You Should Know About Tinting

Types of Glass

At SOF Auto Glass, we use the same glass that your vehicle rolled out of the factory with. Therefore, the new piece of glass should be identical to what is already in place. If you think the shade is not dark enough, however, many local tinting companies can help you find the right color.

What To Expect

The replacement process with SOF Auto Glass includes several steps:

  • Assessing damage and removing broken glass

  • Cleaning and preparing the window frame

  • Installing and securing the new glass

We offer free mobile service and complimentary glass removal for all replacements.
